Goodbye, $165,000 Tech Jobs. Student Coders Seek Work at Chipotle.  (NYT)

from a story by Natasha Singer.

Computer coders are unique;

With job markets very weak,

They must find a fast food job,

Joining the prosaic mob.

All that algebra for naught.

It’s french fries, kid, not Camelot.

America’s Great Pickle Divide (WSJ)

Reported by Natalie Weger

Who can hate a pickle?

Its tangy crunch delights

Cynics, fops, and mavens –

And even troglodytes!

Fresh from jar or barrel,

With sandwich or alone;

It’s fame and reputation

Cannot be overblown.

Yet, strange to say, some people

Abhor all things so soused –

Such oddballs should be captured

And in deep rehab housed!

The lionfish is quite the spawner;

Any reef with them’s a goner.

Rabbits of the sea are they;

They tuck all other fish away.

So why not go and catch a few

And put ‘em in a seafood stew?

Otherwise this fishy fiend

All the ocean will have cleaned.

I wonder, can you eat sea shells?

(It might go good with zinfandels.)
