Hanna Ingber is a prominent journalist and digital strategist with over two decades of experience, particularly noted for her work at The New York Times. Her career began as a lifestyle editor at the Myanmar Times in Yangon, soon after graduating from Wesleyan University and the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Following her initial role, Ingber worked as a reporter in Myanmar, Thailand, and India, demonstrating a diverse and global journalistic perspective.

Joining The New York Times as an early member of its first social media team, Ingber has been a significant contributor to the paper for over 11 years. Her role at The Times has been multifaceted, encompassing various strategic and editing positions. Before her time at The New York Times, she was integral in launching and managing the World vertical at what is now HuffPost and led the breaking and trending news desk at GlobalPost.

Ingber's contributions at The New York Times are wide-ranging. She has been involved in numerous editorial projects and experimental initiatives, such as the Reader Center, where she served as the editorial director. This role included pioneering series like "Behind the Byline" and "Understanding The Times," and establishing best practices for reader engagement and transparency. Her work has also included personal essays, many of which focus on themes like co-parenting and divorce, resonating with a broad audience.

In 2023, Ingber joined the Express team as a Special Projects Editor. This role involves undertaking various projects aimed at enhancing audience engagement and strengthening the newsroom's capability in breaking news coverage. Her responsibilities include experimenting with new types of coverage, story presentations, and editorial voice, as well as managing a team of diverse journalists.

Additionally, Ingber's dedication extends beyond journalism. She is on the board of the Goodnation Foundation, further illustrating her commitment to impactful work and community involvement.

Living in South Orange, New Jersey, with her two boys, Ingber continues to be a prominent figure in modern journalism, pushing the boundaries of how news is reported and engaging with a global audience.
